CHOCOLATE QUICK BREAD

1 ¾ C flour

½ C cocoa

½ tsp. baking powder

½ tsp. baking soda

½ tsp. salt

½ C soft butter

1 C white sugar

2 eggs

1 C sour milk

1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/3 C chopped pecans

Combine the dry ingredients and set aside.  Cream the butter and sugar until light.  Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.  Add the sour milk and mix well.  Stir in the dry ingredients and mix just until moistened.  Fold in the chocolate chips and pecans.

Spread the batter in a 9X5X3ʺ greased loaf pan and bake at 350°F for about 55 – 60 minutes.
