CHOCOLATE CHEESE MUFFINS

Batter:

1 ½ C flour

¼ C cocoa

1 C white sugar

1 tsp. baking soda

1 C sour milk

5 tbsp. canola oil

1 tsp. vanilla

Filling:

1 pkg. (250 g) cream cheese, softened

1/3 C white sugar

1 egg

1 C milk chocolate chips

Batter: Combine the flour, baking soda, cocoa, sugar and set aside.  Combine the sour milk, oil and vanilla and add to the dry ingredients and mix well.  Spoon the batter into prepared muffin tins. Bake at 350°F for 20 – 25 minutes.

Filling: Beat cream cheese until creamy.  Stir in sugar, egg and fold in the chocolate chips.  Drop one spoonful of the filling into each of the muffins.
