1 C butter

½ C white sugar

1 C brown sugar

2 C flour

1 tsp vanilla

1 tsp baking soda

2 eggs, separated

1 pkg (350g) chocolate or butterscotch chipits

Cream the butter, white sugar and ½ C brown sugar.  Add the beaten egg yolks and vanilla.  Combine the dry ingredients and add to the creamed mixture.  Spread the mixture in an ungreased 8″ pan and sprinkle with the chipits.  Beat the egg whites until stiff and stir in ½ C brown sugar and spread over the base.  Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes.  Cool before cutting.
