1 C white sugar

Butter, size of an egg

14 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained

2 eggs, well beaten

1 tsp vanilla

¼ tsp salt

2 C flour

2 tsp baking powder

¾ C maraschino cherries


Combine all ingredients and mix well.  Spread in a greased 9X5X3” loaf pan.  Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour. Cool in pan for 10 minutes before removing loaf from pan.
