
¼ C cherry juice
Milk
1 C brown sugar
¼ C butter
1 egg
2 C flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
1 C chopped maraschino cherries (well drained)
½ C chopped walnuts
Cream the brown sugar and butter and beat in egg. Combine the dry ingredients and stir into the butter mixture. Fold in the chopped cherries and walnuts. Combine the ¼ C cherry juice and add milk to equal 1 cup. Stir into the batter and mix well. Spread the batter into a greased loaf pan. Bake for about 1 hour at 325°F.
