She has lived her entire life (except while away at college) on the family homestead located in Wyman, QC. Raised on a beef farm, she loved being around the cattle and helping her father and brother on the farm. She is immensely proud of the fact that she lives on the farm that her great-grandparents settled on when they emigrated from Castlebar, Co. Mayo, Ireland in 1855 (they were one of the first families that settled in the Municipality of Bristol).
Family is first and foremost in her life and she describes herself as being “fiercely loyal” to her family. She is blessed with an amazing family and many very special people in her life.
Her hobbies include baking (having won baking competitions at fairs and her neighbours love when she drops treats off at their houses), reading, listening to Celtic music and (during the summer) tending to her many flowerbeds and shrubs. She is active in her church and is always willing to help her neighbours and friends whenever needed. She loves dogs and is the proud owner of a Samoyed named Montana.
She worked for several years in an administrative role in a child care agency in Ottawa and is very happy that that experience is now just a distant memory.
