
Base:
2 C flour
1 C brown sugar
½ C butter, softened
1 C pecan halves
Filling:
2/3 C butter
½ C brown sugar
Topping:
1 C milk chocolate chips
Base: combine the flour, brown sugar and butter and mix well. Press into a greased 13X9″ pan. Sprinkle with the pecan halves. Set aside.
Filling: combine the butter & brown sugar in a saucepan and cook over a medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture is melted. Remove from heat and pour over the base. Bake at 350°F for 18 – 20 minutes. Remove from the oven.
Topping: sprinkle the chocolate chips over the bars as soon as they are removed from the oven. Allow chips to melt for 2 – 3 minutes. Swirl chips to create a marble effect. Cool completely before cutting.
