Calabogie Peaks Resort takes snow design and construction to a new level and brings more fun and thrill to “Playing Outside” on the mountain. This week, White Industries Snow Construction is building a 700-metre-long track for ski cross and snowboard cross enthusiasts. The course, which will include exciting contours, rollers, banked turns and more, can be adapted for training world class elite snowcross athletes and for public enjoyment.
Snowcross is an exhilarating and inclusive combination of alpine and freestyle snow sports. White Industries Snow Construction is also building the ski and board cross track in PyeongChang, South Korea, for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
Calabogie Peaks Resort is also pleased to announce that the mountain will host a Snowcross NORAM event in mid-February 2018. Participants in this “North American” circuit are potential World Cup and Olympic qualifiers.
New this winter The Peaks is offering a 10-week Snowcross Academy for kids 8 years and older. The program, which focuses on skiing and boarding techniques, promises lots of fun, lasting memories and new friendships.
