On Tuesday night a 47-year-old man was arrested after breaking into the Municipality of Pontiac offices.
When the alarm sounded, police responded, but they didn’t find a robbery in progress. In fact, the man was sleeping peacefully on a couch located on the second floor of the building. He offered no resistance and was arrested and taken into custody.
The man gained access to the building through an unlocked window, but didn’t have robbery on his mind. It seems he was looking for a place to snooze. It was the janitor who confirmed to police that someone was asleep inside.
The man remains in custody.
