I was born in Renfrew where I grew up and graduated from RCI. While I attended RCI my interests were primarily athletics and country music. I was an original member of The Countrymen Band that started playing in the late 50s.
After high school I attended Queen’s University in Kingston for four years. I then pursued a career in education and taught high school for approximately 35 years in Ottawa. When I retired from teaching, I moved to the Eganville area where I reside with my wife Connie.
I served on The Renfrew County District School Board for 2 ½ years between 2001-2003.
I presently serve on a number of committees such as: The Renfrew Victoria Hospital Healing Garden, The Renfrew Agricultural Society and Valley Heritage Radio.
Playing music with my friends for seniors at senior homes, senior drop-in centres and nursing homes is one of my favorite leisure activities. I especially enjoy classic country music, but I also listen to many different genres of music.
I enjoy working with the dedicated group of directors of Valley Heritage Radio.
