BLUEBERRY LEMON LOAF

Bread:

1 ½ C flour

1 tsp. baking powder

6 tbsp. butter

1 ½ C white sugar

2 eggs

2 tbsp. grated lemon rind

½ C milk

1 ½ C blueberries

Glaze:

1/3 C white sugar

3 tbsp. lemon juice

Combine the sugar and lemon juice and set aside.

Combine the dry ingredients and set aside.  Cream the butter & sugar until fluffy.  Add the eggs and beat well.  Fold in the lemon rind and blend.  Add the dry ingredients alternately with the milk.  Fold in the blueberries.  Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350°F for about 1 hour.  Remove from oven and poke holes in the bread and pour the glaze over the loaf and cool.
