Stephen Baylis was the captain of this year’s Carleton Place Canadians, and he had a memorable season, winning the CCHL MVP award and leading the Canadians within a win of a national title.

His play has caught the eye of some pro scouts and last week he was invited to the development camp for the Tampa Bay Lightning, and will also compete at the Toronto Maple Leafs development camp.

The speedy and tenacious Baylis has also earned a full scholarship to Bowling Green University next season.

Stephen is the son of Carl and Donna Baylis, formerly of Pakenham, and now Carleton Place.
