AUNT LOUISA’S OATMEAL CAKE

½ C butter

1 C rolled oats (not instant)

1 C boiling water

1 C brown sugar

2 eggs

1 C flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. cinnamon

1 C raisins

Combine the butter, rolled oats & boiling water and let stand for 15 minutes.  Combine the remaining ingredients, add to the butter mixture and mix well.  Spread in a greased 8″ pan and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
