Arnprior Packers hire new coach

The Arnprior Packers have a new head coach as the team has announced Tony Iob will be the man behind the bench next season coming to Arnprior via Kanata where he was the coach of the CCHL’s Kanata Lasers last season.

The 45-year-old Renfrew native comes back to the CCHL-2 after having coached his hometown Timberwolves to a pair of Valley titles in three seasons before leaving for an assistant’s job with the University of Ottawa men’s team.

A former draft pick of the Buffalo Sabres, played 18 seasons of pro hockey before jumping into coach. The Packers made the announcement via Twitter last night.
