The Arnprior Public Library is racking up the awards!

On the heels of Carolyn Swayze’s Children and Youth Services Librarian of the Year award in November, the Ontario Library Association has now recognized Chief Librarian Karen DeLuca with the W.J. Robertson Medallion as Public Librarian of the Year.

The town’s chief librarian since 2009, DeLuca has introduced a number of innovative programs, including the recent launch of the iPod Project. That is a partnership with the Grove Nursing Home where residents can borrow an iPod loaded with a playlist of their favourite music.

DeLuca will receive the award February 2nd at the Ontario Library Association’s annual conference in Toronto.
