We are now accepting applications for our 6th annual Holly Jolly Radiothon, set for Saturday, December 5, 2015.
Each year Valley Heritage Radio hosts a live radiothon to raise money for worthwhile causes in our listening area – the Ottawa Valley and the Pontiac.
We ask any charities or organizations based out of the region to submit applications, and in late October we will choose a group to benefit from the monies we raise. Every dollar we receive in pledges from our loyal listeners are donated to the charity we choose.
In the past four years, the Holly Jolly Radiothon has raised in excess of $95,000 for a number of local groups and organizations including The Bonnechere Manor Foundation, the Child Poverty Action Network, the United Way, Recovery Road, Champlain Community Transportation Collaborative and The Robbie Dean Family Counseling Centre.
The radiothon is hosted annual by Art Jamieson and Valley Heritage Radio personalities and features an open house and live music at the radio station, and the public is strongly encouraged to drop in and help Valley Heritage Radio share the holiday spirit.
