6 C sliced apples

1 tbsp. white sugar

Few drops of lemon juice

Combine these ingredients and set aside.


1 ½ C white sugar

2/3 C butter

3 eggs, well beaten

1 ½ C milk

1 tsp vanilla

3 C flour

4 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

Cream the butter and sugar.  Add eggs and mix well.  Combine the dry ingredients and add alternately with the milk.  Stir in the vanilla.  Spread the batter in a greased 13 X 9” pan.  Top with the apples.

Crumb Topping:

1 C butter

1 C brown sugar

1 C white sugar

1 ½ C flour

2 tsp cinnamon

Cream the butter and sugars, add the flour & cinnamon and mix well.  Sprinkle over the apples.

Bake at 350° for about 45 minutes.
