Apple Cheese Torte

1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
3 apples, peeled and sliced
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Cream together butter, sugar and flour.
Press into bottom and up 1 1/2 inches of the sides of an 8 1/2 inch springform pan.
Spread 1/3 cup raspberry or apricot jam over the crust.
Beat together cream cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla.
Pour over jam layer.
Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon.
Spoon over the cheese filling.
Sprinkle 1/2 cup sliced almonds over the apples.
Bake at 450 F for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 400 F and bake for another 25 – 30 minutes.
