
½ C white sugar
1 ½ C flour
½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
½ C butter
½ C currants
2 tbsp. milk
1 egg, beaten
Combine the sugar, flour, salt & baking powder and cut in the butter. Add the currants. Combine the milk and egg, add and mix to form a soft dough. Drop by large spoonfuls onto a parchment lined cookie sheet. Bake at 375°F for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
